Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before applying, with no fine print. Another question? A real person will answer you.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. Every amount you would pay is presented clearly, in writing, before you sign anything. If it's not in your contract, you will never pay it.

Do you run a credit check?

No, never. Our decision is based on the stability of your income, verified through Instant Bank Verification (IBV). Your credit score is neither consulted nor affected.

Does applying commit me to anything?

No. Applying is free, takes two minutes and commits you to nothing. You check your eligibility, you receive an offer, and you remain 100% free to accept or decline.

Is my banking information safe?

Yes. The bank verification is a read-only, encrypted process used by financial institutions across Canada. Your banking password stays between you and your bank, and your information is never sold.

What amounts do you offer?

Our personal loans go from $500 to $1,500: $500, $750, $1,000, $1,250 or $1,500. Choose the amount that matches your real need: a smaller amount is repaid faster and costs less.

Who qualifies?

Anyone 18 or older living in Canada who receives a regular paycheque from an employer (full-time or part-time) by direct deposit, into a bank account open for at least 3 months.

Why are self-employed workers and government benefits not eligible?

These income types are not compatible with the IBV analysis used to assess repayment ability. If your situation changes and you receive a regular paycheque from an employer, you can reapply.

How long does the answer take?

The form takes about two minutes and tells you immediately whether you qualify. After the bank verification, the answer comes quickly, often the same day.

What is Instant Bank Verification (IBV)?

It is a secure system that generates a read-only summary of your bank transactions to confirm your income, without paper statements. Your banking credentials are never shared.

How is the money paid out?

By direct deposit into the bank account where you receive your pay, once your loan is approved and the contract is signed electronically.

Can I repay my loan early?

Yes. You can repay your loan at any time. The exact terms appear in your contract, presented clearly before signing.

What if I don't receive your email?

Check your junk mail folder, then write to us at info@zentoloans.com if you still can't find anything. A real person will answer you.

Ready to apply?

Two minutes, a few questions, no credit check and no obligation. You will know right away if you qualify.

Rates & disclosures

Cost of borrowing, in full

Required information about our loans so you can make an informed decision, before you apply.

Maximum annual percentage rate (APR)

Our maximum annual interest rate is 19.99%. In the event of non-payment, the applicable rate on the overdue amount is 1.67% per month.

Repayment period

Loans are repayable over a minimum of 61 days and a maximum of 6 months. You can make a full or partial repayment at any time, with no penalty.

Representative example of total cost

Loan amount$500 CAD
Annual interest rate19.99%
Term90 days
Total repayable$524.65 CAD
Payments$174.88 / month, for 3 months

A $500 loan may be paired with optional services, which are entirely optional. Subscribing to these services is not required to obtain the loan and has no effect on the credit decision or loan terms. If you choose to opt in, optional service fees may apply and are payable bi-weekly over 6 installments, separately from loan principal and interest. Example: a payment of $145.59 bi-weekly, for a total of $873.54, including optional service fees. Optional services are provided by a separate entity, which sets its own fees independently of loan interest.

Borrow responsibly. While we offer a helpful option when you need it, our interest rate is higher than a local bank's. Use short-term loans only when no other option is available, and as rarely as possible. Taking on several short-term loans at the same time can lead to serious financial difficulty and excessive debt.
